Here is picture of my -97 VT1100 with holesaw mod: View image: putki2
As you can see, I have installed car exhaust reducer pipe inside muffler after holesaw treatment. This almost completely eliminates tinning or hollow sound which results after removing baffle, and looks pretty slick too. After some riding pipe blackens and pipe looks as it supposed to be like that.

Actually fit is so tight that I didn't see need for any screws, there is only anti-corrosive zinc paste which pretty much acts like glue when it's dry. I did my mod in spring -08 and there isn't any sign that reducers are loosening.
