First time out on my bike thought I would ride to school no rain in site, weather.com said 30%. And guess what I get poured on. Now sitting in class soak and wet. Had to make the call to the wife to bring me some cloths....

wish we would get some rain. less than 1/4" since Jan 1. Extreme drought this year. Monsoon season started 2 weeks ago but still no moisture. 10% chance of July 4th.

lol just think of it like this, what seperates us from the cagers is we enjoy nature in it's best & worst ways, but after a good hard rain and the roads have had just enough time to dry & it's cool out and the sky is blue and your able to see the rainbow while other's have to look through a window to, it makes it all work it brother. by the way very Beautiful color on your Sabre

I usually take what the weatherman says, and expect the opposite. Seems to work well 50% of the time.

RADAR is your friend. I check it religiously when it's supposed to rain. I was even riding down the road last weekend lookin at it on my phone trying to dodge a tornado....

Yea I as fully geared up FF helmet boots paints trailmaster jacket so the rain did hurt much drove 40 to 50 depending on the speed limits didn't hurt at all thank goodness

I rarely wear my FF helmet anymore... and most of the time, i hardly wear my jacket...

If that ain't the truth! One of the things I impressed on Heather this year before she started riding with me was the way I see things differently when riding, and the smells..like after a good rain, and the earth smells clean. We were on a bad country road and we started smelling a sweet smell from some purple flowers sitting along the road. Nature at it's best!

our norm for right now is around 9.5" and we've gotten 1.17". dust bowls comin!

:shock: Had that twice last year and once this year. Rain, even at 60 to 65mph, doesn't usually bother me. That's what happened both times. Riding along in the rain on the highway then suddenly...the rain starts to hurt and you realize it's "pea" sized hail. I always just slow my speed and ride along saying things like, "Ok. That hurt. Ouch. Ok...this can quit any time now. Oh yeah...that hurt." :lol: Never have run into anything above small hail on the bike. I suppose if it was the golf ball size, you'd have to find a tree, pull over, and lay across the tank on your bike. :lol:

As far as "chance of rain" on my way to or from work, I always put my rain pants on before I leave. That way if I'm on the highway and it starts raining...I can easily pull over and put the jacket on. :-D
