Hello,
I have a Honda Shadow VT 1100 1994.
Today I change the sparks, spark cables and spark plug caps on brand new.
But when Honda is working front cylinder is colder than rear and the front muffler spits cold air. When I want to add some acceleration the motor chokes. The rear cylinder working correct and muffler spits hot air.
I checked the ignitions coils and the primary coil resisatnce is about 3,2-3,3 OHM and the socendary coil resisatnce with spark plug caps is about 33,5 OHM. So coils are good.
I checked the spark at the spark plugs. Looks ok.

What can be the problem ? Thank you for your help.

My '96 1100 ACE was running on rear only when I purchased it. It would actually fire both cylinders, once the throttles were opened far enough to get the main jet in play. but not firing at idle or low throttle opening. I attributed the issue to a clogged pilot jet.

If the engine fires the dead cylinder with a little starter fluid shot into the appropriate carb intake, that would strongly suggest the problem doesn't lie with ignition.

One can test for ignition failure by securing a spare spark plug firmly against the appropriate head, and running one spark plug lead to that spare plug. The engine can run, perhaps poorly, but well enough to keep spinning, on the remaining connected plug, while you observe the spark for that cylinder on the spare plug against the head. The inactive spark plug is left in the head, so fuel mix isn't being sprayed out the hole and around YOU, your face close to the engine looking at the (hopefully) sparking spare plug. Fuel spray plus ignition equals fire. The body of the spare plug needs to be firmly in contact with the engine cylinder metal, or the high voltage circuit won't be made. Sometimes engines have painted cylinders, and this can interfere with electrical circuits. If the circuit is inadvertantly closed through YOU, holding the plug, you will get a nasty shock.

Did it run good before the parts were put on? Or is that why you changed them?

The older 1100s have 2 pulse generators, and one can go bad and kill that cylinder.
Check them for resistance, about 450 to 500 ohms each.

I think the problem was before I replacement of parts. Today I will check the pulse generators. But where can I find the connector for this unit ?
