Does anybody sell a generic filter that fits these bikes? I don’t want to have to wait for shipping. I’ve never changed a fuel filter on a motorcycle before and not sure if I must use a certain kind of filter.
A simple plastic one for a riding lawn mower would even work from Home Depot. I have one similar and they don't need changing very often so a smaller one is fine. Just keep it down near the pump from heat.

Yeah, I just used one of those and it seemed fine. You can still get the ‘big, bulky’ filters like OEM, but I can’t really think they’d do much better at filtering. Carbureted engines don’t flow insane amounts of pressure to need a big filter.
OEM vs smaller units maybe no filtering issue but more volume to plug up thus a greater amount of time between service intervals if ever needed. And yes a pain in the arse to deal with both filter and fuel pump but most Honda's have a nuance of some sort. I have to remove tank to service my air filter on the Valk.
