2002 Shadow:
As soon as I pressed the starter, I heard a click and all lights went off after that. I checked the fuses and did not find anything. On putting the key back in, I got the lights. But when I tried again, the same thing happened.

Any advice?

How's about what ride/year/model you have, here is one possibility could be in the starter switch

Could be the battery too.

forgot to mention, its not the battery as it is fully charged. A clicking noise and then I lose all power - sounded like a fuse, but didnt find a blown fuse. And i got back power till i tried to start again.
Oh yes - it is a 2002 Shadow VT600CD
