I must share this Harley story with you:

A mechanic was removing a cylinder-head from the motor of a Harley
motorcycle when he spotted a well-known cardiologist in his shop. The
cardiologist was there waiting for the service manager to come take
a look at his bike when the mechanic shouted across the garage,
"Hey Doc, want to take a look at this?"
The cardiologist, a bit surprised, walked over to where the mechanic was
working on the motorcycle. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands
on a rag and asked, "So Doc, look at this engine. I open its heart, take
the valves out, repair any damage, and then put them back in, and when I
finish, it works just like new. So how come I make $39,675 a year and you
get the really big bucks ($1,695,759) when you and I are doing basically
the same work?"
The cardiologist paused, smiled and leaned over, then whispered to the
mechanic...
''Try doing it with the engine running."

LOL too funny. I like that one. Reminds me of the one about the steam engine and the engine designer with a hammer.

Hey Sama I had a blast in Iceland a few years ago. Mainly hung around Reykjavic but did a tour up the West coast all the way up to Husavik. I was there at the end of October past the tourist season so I had most places to myself. I'd still like to go up there in the summer and experience those long days.

Hi AW,
Nice to know you have been here, you are one of the few
visiting from the States - a long trip.
Next question: did you have the chance to ride a motocycle
or did you go by bus to Husavik ?
Yes we love the midnight sun, contrary to the myth, it is very
romatic riding into the night in June -July.
If you decide to visit again, be sure to let us know in advance.

I meet up with two Germans and a guy from the Netherlands in the youth hostel beside that big public pool in Reykjavik and we pooled our money and rented a car. The guy from the Netherlands had been to Iceland 3 times before so He acted as our tour guide. Bikes would have been cool but it rained on us some and we got into a blizzard coming back to Reykjavik between those two big glaciers.

heart surgeons operate with the heart pumping?

i didn't know that.

that's gotta make my grandmothers triple bypass last fall the closest to death she's ever been. imagine trying to cut and suture a couple veins with them moving half an inch every few seconds.

(and it seems like all the medical television shows have been lying to us...you'ld think the pumpng heart would make for more dramatic telvevision)

Cardiologists and cardiac surgeons are two different critters.
