OK. So i left work today on my 34 mile ride home. About a mile into the ride it started STORMING. Usually no big deal, but today i had my 1/2 helmet on and as yall know not good on the face. So i decided to take back roads and ride slow to the dollar store for a bandana. After i bought it i stood outside and tied it around my face. While doing so an old lady walked out and had a look of complete fear. I thought nothing of it,So i hopped back on my bike (still storming) and went on my way. As soon as i got on the highway i could see those dam flashy light coming from every direction. As the cops began surrounding me one was walking up to me i could hear his dispacher giving detailed description of a suspect-just left dollar store,white male,black motorcycle, wearing all blue.......HOLY @$#% Apparently the old lady that saw me with the bandana tied around my face called 911 and told them i was robbing the dollar store. Well after a lot of explaining and about and hour of standing in the rain while the store manager reviewed the security tapes of course i was let go with apoligies from the (luckly) very cool cop....

Yes i was on a motorcycle, yes i had a bandana tied around my face, but i also had on bright blue nomex and the name of my employer on one side of my shirt and MY NAME on the other side.

How'd we get such a bad rap?

LOL that's quite a story!! I regularly wear a face mask when it's chilly, I guess I better watch where I put it on.

My ol lady thought so too!! BTW She as well as i love yo ride, shes a beauty.

That was too dam funny... you should've gotten a pic taken with your bandana on surrounded by all those cops... that would've been a kodak moment :mrgreen:

I think the cops called the wrong dollar store. That bike makes you look really suspect. Where did you hide all the dollar bills?

holy crap man! On one hand, that is a bummer that you had to go through that whole ordeal with the cops and in the rain no less.......however, on the other hand, you have one **** of a story to tell! I loved the story

Read an article a few months back saying that the dollar stores have been the most profitable they've ever been due to the economy. May not be a bad place after all...

if it makes you feel better a local DJ was scurrying between cars one day, startled another little old lady, who gasped..I thought you were going to rape me... some people panic before thinking things through.

Thats almost as good as getting attacked by two turkeys! I have been given some funny looks at night putting on my black fleece gator while looking at the store, no cops called and high speed chase tho
