I probably sounds nerdy, but I checked off on a calendar of each day I rode to work this season & the total is 55 times; sadly it's not even a 10 mile ride each way, but I'm pleased.
Time for you to get out and ride the road and enjoy the road and scenery. I don't keep track of my work commutes, but my brain does of the long scenic rides.I probably sounds nerdy, but I checked off on a calendar of each day I rode to work this season & the total is 55 times; sadly it's not even a 10 mile ride each way, but I'm pleased.
Or get lost riding home like I do on many occasions...:mrgreen:easy fix, move another 20 miles away!!
Not to mention the savings in "Shrink" fees for me. :wink:Lol wow I thought only I did that. I got 90ish ride to work in. 526$ in gas savings compare to my truck my gas savings for me and the wife got us new helmets and a dent on my tires. Did you happen to factory in savings cost? The ride is priceless I know that. 10 miles is still. A good drive.
You ain't kiddin'! It's a 30-mile ride each way for me, and a pretty ride, so even though I'm commuting it's still enough to be good therapy...Not to mention the savings in "Shrink" fees for me.
I almost got the village to let me use the water dept truck as a take home vehicle, made since to me but not them. Glad I didn't because then I wouldn't have "needed a bike" and wouldn't have one now. So what I thought was bad on their part turned out great for me!I've probably ridden to work maybe 3 times in the last year.
I have a company vehicle and I have to take it. The three times that I did ride to work, I knew I would not need the truck and knew I would not get caught not taking it. If memory serves me right, I think that I left early all three of those days and rode.
