I probably sounds nerdy, but I checked off on a calendar of each day I rode to work this season & the total is 55 times; sadly it's not even a 10 mile ride each way, but I'm pleased.

Time for you to get out and ride the road and enjoy the road and scenery. I don't keep track of my work commutes, but my brain does of the long scenic rides. ;)

Lol wow I thought only I did that. I got 90ish ride to work in. 526$ in gas savings compare to my truck my gas savings for me and the wife got us new helmets and a dent on my tires. Did you happen to factory in savings cost? The ride is priceless I know that. 10 miles is still. A good drive.

Well in the about 3 1/2 months I've had my bike I ridden it 6 days a week to work which is a measly 3 mile round trip but many days I take the long way home and add any where from 30 to 50 miles to that plus a few trips to town and I have about 1300 miles on it.
Times to work about 80 but that's just a close estimate. The number I keep more track of is how many days have I not ridden it since I got it and that would be almost every Sunday but there were a few real nice Sundays I just had to go for a afternoon ride. This week will be the most days in a row that I won't be riding. I'll ride to work tomorrow, won't have time on Sunday because of packing for our trip to pick up our son and if its nice next Saturday I'll be taking a ride with my son. So that will be 6 days in a row not riding it, poor thing is going to feel neglected!

Not to mention the savings in "Shrink" fees for me.

I ride to work every day when it isn't raining (when I depart), April through October. I ride home for lunch too. If rain is in the forecast I pack my rain suit and take my chances for the ride home. Snow, sand, ice, salt, etc. stop me in the winter. I only live 5 miles from work, but sometimes it takes me almost an hour to get home and it isn't because of traffic!

You ain't kiddin'! It's a 30-mile ride each way for me, and a pretty ride, so even though I'm commuting it's still enough to be good therapy...

I've probably ridden to work maybe 3 times in the last year.

I have a company vehicle and I have to take it. The three times that I did ride to work, I knew I would not need the truck and knew I would not get caught not taking it. If memory serves me right, I think that I left early all three of those days and rode.

I almost got the village to let me use the water dept truck as a take home vehicle, made since to me but not them. Glad I didn't because then I wouldn't have "needed a bike" and wouldn't have one now. So what I thought was bad on their part turned out great for me!

for me commuting miles are 0, its less than a mile to my workshop... and I leave my bike there.

I do still get 10-20K in a year though with evening and weekend rides, 15000 miles this last year now :D

Yall right about the shrink i dont have 4k a year to lay around a hour a week so some one can listen to me cry. I rather drop a gear and fly . Shrink might be safe but thats why you buy a helmet safety coverd.

first 5 years I had my bike I commuted to work, 5-6 days a week. I opted out some days in Nov/Dec/Jan/Feb for the truck. Plus the visit to my parents I racked up 50,000 miles. I've slowed some surprisingly since I've retired due to logistics and family obligations.
