List of things you want to do to you Bike, besides of course Ride ....

Here's my list

1. Adjust Tappets/Valves.
2. Adjust Windshield to align with fork better.
3. Replace LED Accent lights with Joe Florida (reduce wires lengths).
4. Replace all Scotch Loc quick connects with Original Style Honda insulated bullet connectors (already have connectors and special Tool to crimp).
5. Have Wheels trued and Balanced (replace Rim weights with Spoke weights).

None of these are pressing issues and my Bike is doing great, its just things in the back of my mind that i want to get done.

1.) Install a Vance & Hines Classic II Exhaust system with a jet kit
2.) Install a GPS Speedo, relocating it entirely
3.) Install a Hoppe Quadzilla Fairing
4.) After the V&H install, have the bike dyno tuned
5.) Install a Mustang wide touring seat with driver back rest

The main issues is... those upgrades would cost twice what I paid for the bike. ;)
Who knows, Stormy is growing on me, and if it ends up being a keeper I may just do them.
I've about got the bike the way I want it but..

1. Mount up the front wheel hub cover I found on ebay.
2. Look into a set of Easy Brackets
3. Dittos on a set of chrome switch housings. (NOT covers)
4. Might as well add in a pair of chrome levers while I'm at it...
5. Trying to find a Show Chrome rear sprocket trim ring that was discontinued in 2011.:-( No luck so far.
HD Daymaker headlight, I think I'm getting it for christmas.
D&K customs air cleaner and crank breather kit (also a maybe for christmas)
Commander II tires
True-trac engine mount/ stabilizer
Color match side covers and hand guards
New rear shocks
New oil, progressive springs and preload adjusters up front.
Bassani 2-1 exhaust pipe
Fuel Moto 107ci bigbore kit with head work and cams
LED brake and turn signals

And in that order, if I don't do the big bore kit ill do a set of cams. Nothing is a must, but it sure would be nice!
Only one upgrade for me. Have had so many people make illegal left hand turns on me so come Spring, install a Kisan P115W-S Pathblazer modulator to make me more visable.
three bikes, but a pretty short list bettween them

vtx. i've had it longest so it's about how i want it.

i just want to try and get in on a custom bag build, if i can afford a set once they're made, and there's a set available since i don't know how many will be made.

spring service next spring

probaly be looking into a new front tire come spring

vlx. the third bike kinda replaces it so it's more finishing out the project.

just it put back together (that should include replacing fork seals and a front tire), and do some tuning.

i think i want to try and have it together by next season, ride it and find any bugs, offer to let any family who wants to learn use it ('cause i sure wouldn't let them try it on my big ones), and eventually sell i think.

harley springer. since i just got it, the list is fuzzy (and could get long later) but the couple of definites are

just found some stock mufflers to replace loud (and somewhat damaged) aftermarket ones.

new front tire (everything seems to need a hew front tire).

Get a 2nd bike - a ST1300 or a FJR.

I understand the "be seen" concept, but if they can't your headlight already it's not going to help, plus when I do see those modulators on headlights especially in my mirrors they're nothing but an annoying head ache.

Not trying to be cantankerous, but the modulator is a lot easier to see or notice than a steady headlight. Plus if it gives you an annoying headache it may do the same to the reckless fool who is about to make an illegal left turn... Just sayin.
I'm still making a set of highway bar covers or bras or whatever they are called. Got one mostly stitched together last night.

I also broke the bolt holding my seat on and need to replace it. Unfortunately it looks to be spot-welded to the underside of the rear fender. I will talk more about that later.

Ordered some aluminum spot lights that I will bolt on somewhere.

Looking for some led running lights coming my way soon that I will attach to my saddle bags.

Trying to make a set of lowers but the cheap azz brackets I bought are too small.

Need to hook up my old cage GPS somewhere on my bike.

Need to add another switch for my light bar but closer to my handle bar.

The list goes on,
Paint the Bike,
Led tail lights,
Install the light bar I have,
Big cruiser seat,
Wheels,
Tires,
Swap the Memphis Shade windshield for a Memphis Faring,
Passenger floor boards
For my daily commuter bike;
Maybe get a new jacket and or helmet.
Wash it
40 - 50L top case

Would also like a bar bike for weekends;
VROD
Fat Bob
Scout
finish assembling engine on my 96,98,02,04 vt1100,C,Spirit (a lot of different parts on this bike) then paint and assemble with an array of upgrades.

re-jet and shim carbs on the 87 vt1100C (worlds greatest cruiser).

paint and sell the 02 vlx.

that should do it.
(1) Get all lights changed to LED's on my FlyinJenni. << Got 100% of the parts; just no time.>>

(2) Help younger Brother sell his cherry '09 VT750C2F pretty daym cheap, even with all the extras. And buy or trade for a bigger one, ASAP.

(At the risk of blasphemy, and being tarred and feathered here: It just ain't big enough. For it's size, it runs like a molested monkey, since we're not supposed to say: r*ped ape. It just ain't big enough. Will be doing some longer rides; likely to be relocating soon, where longer rides are common. And we ain't small riders.)

(3) An enclosed trailer big enough for both bikes, to hitch behind the motorhome.
Add LED strobe set up
Figure out how to put extended controls that won't interfere with my current engine guards
Large windshield
Brighter headlight-possibly switch to LED

Honestly.. Having ridden a bike with both modulated headlight and not.. They really do make a difference.. No exaggeration - they cut down on a full 80% of people pulling out in front of you..

Hi-Viz never did anything like that for me..

Trying to think about why they work so well.. And - just a guess - but I figure it has to do with motorists being just conditioned to be fearful of any vehicle with a flashing headlight on it.. I think they see flashing headlights and most people immediately suspect COP, so they are extra vigilant.

Even you said it.. They annoy you.. You are aware that they are there then?

Loud pipes? Same thing.. Hi-Viz, Long Beards, Biker Outfits and cool dudes wearing bandannas.. It's all designed to get people's attention..

Modulating headlights are really quite good for that as well - take my word for it

Just as an addendum.. Next jacket I get likely won't be Hi-Viz.. When compared to the effectiveness of a modulating headlight, they barely do a thing to get you noticed.

All lights changed over to led's
A touring seat
Add rear led running lights
maybe a stereo sys...not sure about this one, I really miss my music but I really enjoy the sounds and peace of the ride so stereo maybe, maybe not

Well I agree about being annoyed, so I use my hi beam switch as a modulator through car infested intersections. Have had only 2 people start to cut me off in the past 5 - 6 years, 100,000 miles of riding.
bing!

new idea lower the gear ratio a tad, I think I'll bolt on a 68t pulley while I have my tire/ wheel off at the next change. Should make for a little quicker from stop light to stop light without hurting my highway mileage. Along with better mileage in town and cruising. I'd actually like to be able to use 6th at a little lower speed. Right now cruising 70mph is in that odd range between turning a few too many RPM in 5th and too little in 6th. and I can change my tune to make a speedo correction, so no problem there!
