Hi everyone. I have looked around here and not found anyone trying to do what I am thinking of doing. I own a 1996 Shadow A.C.E. I want to mount some saddle bags that I can carry more than a chapstick in. To do this I need to do something with the rear turn signals. I like the look of the aero rear turn signals from a 1998 aero. And that would give me plenty of the room that I am looking for. Does anyone know of a way to change the location of my rear turn signals that won't look like a drunken backyard hacksaw job?
So, do the turn signals then hang form the ends of "item 1, bracket?" And where would I find the kit in question? Also, do you have a photo of how this looks on your bike?
These are the ones that come with Leatherlyke bags. Really good bags by the way and you can fit way more than just chapstick in the cross country bags.
Thank you guys so much. The diagram helps me understand what is involved in making this change. Unfortunately, I would have a hard time selling my wife on the idea of spending $450+ for a set of saddle bags right now.
