Whats the maximum width size of a tire that will fit on the back of a 1987-96 VT1100, it calls for the 170/80H/15

Yep, started to put a 200 on this past tire change, but the extra 30 mm, (15 mm per side), wasn't worth the extra $75 to me.

Don't think it would have been enuff to notice it.

LOL...i dont have the 200 but know it would fit with no mods. It really doesnt look any "fatter" than the stock 170. I am sticking with the 170 for handling purposes. I understand you lose some handling with the 200. And yes, the 200/70/15 will fit.

it should look fatter with 30mm wider and lower being a 70, but the width of the rim would make the tire thinner and raise upwards I guess
