US Army - 25.5 years
Helicopter flight engineer - 23 of those year were all crew flying.
I was the luckiest CE alive. I would do it again.
Last tour Afghanistan were my luck ran out.

Doubt anyone will go 11 pages back but...recently proud owner of '98 Shadow Spirit 1100cc.Served '83-'87 USMC Parris Island (not a resort island...lol) then Infantry training Camp Gieger,then on to Barracks Duty guarding Naval Sub Base Groton Ct. After 18 months to my MOS Anti-Tank Assault with infantry Camp Lejeune NC.Actually did a 7 month Mediterranean Cruise as part of a (MAU) Marine Amphibious Unit,awsome ports,Barcelona,Haifa,went to Rome,Marsielle,Venice,Palma Majorca...very cool.Navy vessels in the MAU USS Guada Canal,USS El Paso,USS Manitwok,Uss Ponce (mine) and one more I cant remember.

How many members / riders here are veterans? When, where, and what branch did you serve?
I served in the US Army, Infantry from beginning of 94 to the end of 04. Was stationed in Ft. Sill, OK - Ayers Kaserne, Germany - Camp McGovern Bosnia (95 - 96) - Friedberg, Germany - Ft Carson, CO - Ft Meade MD.

Separated USAF in 1998 after 10 years as an Aircraft Electro Environmental Systems Specialist. Worked the C5, C141, C130, HH60, and F16. I was stationed in California, Georgia, Japan, and South Korea.

USAF 10 years: Combat search and rescue, HH60G Pavehawk crew chief.
USCG 10 years 10 months and 4 days:
MH60T Aviation maintenance technician and aircrew.
Enlisted April 1997 - retired Sept 2019.

greatly appreciated!
Thank you to you and your families for the most important assignment in the world! I was there on 9/11 and came home to see my family. I am sure for some of you that was the norm in war time.

We will never forget what you all have done to protect our freedom!

USAF Security Service, 1955 to early out in Dec 1958. Mandarin Chinese language specialist. Served on an island off the west coast of Korea just south of the 38th parallel.
