no brakes???
Why? (Are crashes that involve driving off the track more exciting to the paying audience than having somebody lock the brakes and lay it down on the track ? )

I have no idea, but there are a bunch of other strange rules too. E.g., No titanium parts.

From what I could gather from the little blurb on Wikipedia, apparently the engine is used for braking, and those little methanol engines are high compression torque monsters.

Northern European countries are heavily represented across the sport. "From the people who brought you ski jumping and luge racing... Now you can break your neck during the warmer months too!"

Been around for many years , short but furious racing . Kinda like American flat track but little bullring tracks ....
