anyone know what " Clevis " mounting brackets are ?
,
I found a set of floorboards I like, they are designed for a Harley, but wasn't sure if they can be adapted, price is great too.
"Clevis" just means that a pin (a clevis pin) goes through two holes to hold something on or together.
Here is an example:
Whether it would fit right or not depends on the width of the bracket on the bike and the bracket you are putting on it. I'd bet a Harley and a metric are going to be different. You might could make it work with washers or spacers - just depends.
Harleys use the clevis style mounts and Hondas use a little larger square mounting system for the footpegs/floorboards. You can install Harley boards on Honda mounts using washers or spacers to keep them from flopping around in the mounts.
It's a different story trying to put Honda parts on a Harley, but then, why would you want to?!!
