I think FF is a must but FF helmets IMHO comes with the following disadvantages:
1- limit my side view visibility.
2- feels like I am in a cage and limit my sense of outer environment.
3- other minor issues: more suitable for sport bikes, I can't wear my sunglasses ...
To solve number one: I bought the widest view FF helmets
To solve number two: I removed the outer visor (i have a windshield) and bought a helmet with inner visor. I only use the outer visor for rain.
Other minor issues are not important..
