What is the proper way to adjust the shift lever on a 2009 Shadow Aero 750 so my boots will fit comfortably under the shift peg? After installing a shift peg cover to match the brake pedal my boots will not fit under the shift peg any longer. Thanks.

Should be an adjustment on the shift rod between the shifter and the shift shaft coming out of the trans. Undo the lock nut, make your adjustment and re-tighten the lock nut.

There should be locknuts on both ends. One is right hand threads and the other is left hand threads.
