Hello everyone! I bought my first bike two days ago and I already love it. Its a 1983 VT500c Shadow. It is fairly messed up, and being that I know only what my service manual has told me so far, I feel like I am going to need lots of help to get this thing running! So far I know that the rear cylinder is not firing, and the tachometer and speedometer aren't working, and it needs lots of TLC as far as cosmetics and pieces. I look forward to the challenge, and hope to help anybody I can along the way as I learn how to ride, build, and repair motorcycles.

Where did you find the solo seat for your phantom?

im riding a 1986 500
its the best thing in my world
though the master cylinder little window thing just got punctured (after leaking a tiny bit here n there the last couple months) so now i have to find the whole assembly to replace it and its proving difficult to find the part
but as soon as i find it im back on the bike for an eternity of riding!
