I have the same helmet in silver. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine. So far it's been great.

I have the same helmet in the yellow "Octane" pattern, with gold shield. It's the best-fitting helmet I've ever owned, very snug but with no uncomfortable pressure points. Only criticism is that the shield doesn't have an "open-just-a-crack" position.

I love the matte-black look. My next helmet will be matte-black.

Do you like the gold shield? How is it at blocking the sun?

I have had that exact helmet for about a year now. Very comfortable and seems well-made.

My only problems with it are whistling while I have the visor up and doing anything over 20 mph, and that the perepheral vision is somewhat restricted. I'm sure that's because of the shape of my noggien though, than due to any fault of the manufacturer.

Add me to the list of hopefuls that you never have to "test" it.

My fiance has the 400 and i have the 700. So far we love them fully

I really like the gold shield. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but it seems to greatly reduce sun glare while not darkening the view too much. It's as if it reflects the sun's rays away rather than filtering them out by the use of a dark tint.

I was not familuer with Scorpion helmets until I bought one this past weekend. The 3/4 not the full. Seems to be very well made. It has a flip down shield that really controls the wind noise. I don't know if I got as good a deal but I really like the helmet.

I have the same helmet in blk. I found out Fri. that the Scorpion will reduce head buffing. Case in point; went riding Fri. morning and after about 10 miles I got cold so went back home to get leather jacket and full face helmet, I had on 3/4. Light wind and was getting some head buffing with the 3/4. After I put on the Scorpion no buffing at all. Sat. went to a open house at a Honda Dealer 30 miles away so I got try EXO at higher speeds, up to 90, no head buffing. I`m SOLD. :wink: BTW, I useing a MS Big Shot 21" shield, light bar W/O lowers. Had to remove lowers when I added light bar. but would rather have extra light, so a good trade-off.
