Hello all. I got my bike yesterday afternoon and I'm enjoying it a lot. Learning to ride was a lot easier than I thought it would be and I'm glad I took a course. The bike performs significantly better than the Marauder 250 that I took my skills test on, and I'm glad I bought the Shadow instead of the V-Star 650.

Something odd happened yesterday afternoon on my second ride after bringing her home; the oil pressure indicator suddenly lit up, she sputtered lightly for about 30 seconds, and then she stalled on me. I pulled her over and let her sit for a few minutes. On a hunch I switched to the reserve and she fired up and was ready to go. I made it to the gas station, filled up the tank, switched back to the main, and have had no problems since.

I've been reading the Clymer manual I got from the seller. So far I haven't found any indication of why this happened. Why would the oil pressure indicator come on when the fuel was low?
