Well, my Phantom is out of commission for a day or two. I have 1500 miles on it so far- 780 this last weekend. Me and my son went for a little get about. Sunday morning we woke up at a buddy's cabin to see my rear tire was very low. Very, very low. 120 miles from home.

Went to a gas station bought a can of fix a flat. Aired it up with my buddys compressor and it held- kinda. Drove the 120 miles stopping 3 times to re-air and got home fine, just in time for the Packer game. :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

I will fix it myself after work Tuesday. We have all the tire repair tools and patches at our shop. Already have the tire off and in my truck.

She looks so sad on the lift with some of her clothes missing,,,

Maybe it's just a valve stem (unless you actually see a nail/screw in the tire)....

Wouldn't that be a groaner if it was just the valve stem!
But I guess since the fix a flat is in there, tire needs to come off anyway to clean it out. What to clean it with, I don't have a clue.

It was a 3/4 inch finishing nail. argggggggg

Put a patch on the inside of the tire prolly wasnt needed but I am anal about that stuff.

Threw the tube in the dumpster because I slimed it with the fix a flat.

Fricken Honda dealer did not have a new tube. But the Harley dealer 10 miles away did.:mrgreen:

your probably better off just replacing the tube regardless of whether or not u had slimed it. anyhow, glad u made it home

I carry a tire repair kit when I travel. Vicious has on board air and I will be doing the same with the Road Star once I pick up another air horn. Need a horn bad in this Dallas traffic. I almost got nailed by a Suzuki Grand Viagra today! lol

Oce had to replace a front valve stem on the Valkyrie. I did it with the wheel on the bike and not jacked up. Necessity is a motherF*&^er. or something like that.

Well we are close. I live about 15 miles west of Janesville.

Well, got the bike put back together and off the lift. She wanted to go for a ride after being laid up for a bit. Just got back from a nice tour and noticed the exhaust headers were "chirping" a tiny bit. Let the bike cool off and checked the 4 header bolts? 3 were very loose and the 4th just took a tiny twist. I don't have a service manual for a Phantom so can anyone tell me the exact torque values for the above mentioned bolts? Thanks!
