That's nearly as bad as People that keep their Dogs outside chained up 24/7 with no
decent place to get out of the Weather...
Bike Shops LOVE those kind of bike owners!
As far as the Dogs... there have been a few pet owners that have been upset when they come home to find no Dog, and a note stating;
"If you treat another Dog like this YOU might find yourself padlocked on that Chain in 100 degree Heat with no water"..... BTW the Dog is happy, loves Kids, and is an important LOVED part of Her new Family!
^++111 on the pets, especially dogs! Both of our dogs are rescues along with 2 of my wife's cats.

Since I live in an apt. I rent a storage unit
to keep my bike's in.

It's about ten min.'s from home and yes
it's a little of a hassel to go get one when I want
to ride but I know their safe and out of the weather.

Garaged every night for me, even only sits outside at work about 3/4 time. I usually try to weasel it in a spot in the shop at work, if not I park it in the shade of the overhang. Only when we are working the hay fields away from "home" does it not get prime parking.

Done the same for every bike, currently my bike shares 1/4 of a two truck garage with two other bikes and my tools.

At work its always in the shade, at home I had to modify the door opening on the fellowship hall of our church so I can get it in there and keep some heat on to keep the water pipes from freezing at night so our bikes stay above freezing too! I only had one bike that I had to keep outside but it was always covered then put in my grandparents garage for the winter.
I hate not having a garage for my van now but I keep it in the shade as much as possible.
