Don't hold it against me, but I just got in my ebay special passenger floorboards from HongKong. Sorry I don't have hundreds of dollars to drop on these right now, so I've settled for some under $100. I'll install them this weekend but wow the underside of them looks like the inside of a tin can :-( Just wondering if it would be ok to ride with them down all the time or would that be awkward.

The only problem you may have is running them into the back of your calf once in a while when rolling the bike around. The only way to find out is try it.

I get the money issue, but there are certain parts I would wait and save up for rather than skimp and pegs / floorboards are on that list for me.

Just sayin'; if the underside looks like crap.......

Get a piece of rubber, cut it to size, and glue it to the bottom of each board. Another idea would be to paint the bottoms the same color as your bike so it's not as noticeable. How about this.....turn them upside down. Get a quart of fiberglass resin, mix in blue. Pour it into the boards bottoms. Let it dry.

I thought about the paint but figured it would wear out. Thanks for the idea to cut a piece of rubber out. That will work!! My bike came with nice front floorboards already, I just needed some for the wife when we go out from time to time. I couldn't spend too much money because lets just say I already have with other things for the bike, lol. thanks

Problem solved, kinda... I installed them today and guess what?? I can't flip them up anyway cause they hit the shock. so ... down they will be. I took a ride and my legs are now where near these things. The wifey will try them out this weekend but I'm happy with the way they look. pic
