Hi All. Gotta question for the crew.

I have a 2001 Honda Shadow Spirit 750, with a tank that needs replacing.

I have found an option on eBay, that looks like it would work, its a purple model, the seller doesn't know the year, but I think they only made the purple tank in 2003, is that right?

Will the 2003 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 Tank fit my 2001Honda Shadow Spirit 750?

Doesn't tell me if its compatible...just what the parts are. That I have info on.

Well, with Honda parts if the part number is different and you don't have both tanks to visibly compare, it's a logical assumption that the tanks are not the same and your guess is as good as anyone's why that may be. You'd have to eyeball these tanks to see what's up. You'd have to check mounting points, physical size, connection points , petcocks, vents, on and on.

Honda tanks are sold painted from memory so part numbers can be different and tanks still fit..... but have different sticker sets on them, so its hard to see from the parts list if they will fit

maybe check the frame part number between the years, should mean tank mounts are the same

I think it will fit !! If you could get the Fenders to , you would have a Stock Purple Bike !

Looks like it's worth the risk, $150 for a tank is cheap. You can always resell it if you can't make it fit.
