question about straightpipes

I was tired of the stock exhaust being so quiet so cut the muffler off and welded pipes to it. I figured I would need jetted from everything I read but bike seems to run fine. Don't backfire on revs at idle, don't backfire on decel or feel like it has any flat spots on acceleration. I don't know if it is just me but also feels like more power up high. Do you guys think this is normal or am I possibly already jetted? Can you tell by pulling jets out? I did have to adjust the idle screw a little (sounded like it was idling a little high after straight pipes)
