Does anyone know where I can get some quick release buckles for my saddle bags straps? I won't quicker acess to my bags.

Try Tandy Leather on line or some type of leather supply place like that.

They should have half a catalog of buckles.

I know they can be found in hiking/outdoor gear stores but will be plastic.

you can get plastic buckles at walmart in the fabric dept.

for about $2 each I think. black or white. ive used them on stuff for a while, ive got some that have been outside for over 2 years with no visible fading or weakness.

I did just what you mentioned to my bags last year. I bought some nylon straps in the camping section at Walmart for a couple bucks a piece. Then I used leather rivets to add them to my bags. I needed to add a D-ring to each strap to keep them from blowing around in the wind. It makes it a little easier to get into the bags. Mine are Willie & Max Black Magic bags. I think most of the manufacturers come with the quick release buckles now and that's where I got the idea. Harley Bags have been using them too.
