Hi. Just wondering if the rear shocks on the 2003 shadow ace are rebuildable?

Most shocks are made to be NOT rebuildable good luck finding a kit). The makers are probably concerned with someone eating a spring from the externals or internals not to mention handling failures from a crappy handyman rebuild effort, all resulting in expensive and ugly lawsuits.

Stock shocks can come apart but I would just replace them with good aftermarket shocks ala Progressive.

Yes, they are rebuild able. But as said good luck finding a parts kit.

Yes, they are very good products.

Might as well put Progressive front springs in also to complete the suspension upgrade.
