Just tail light is lit when going down the road not turn signals they do light up and flash when I switch them on and are in working order, My question is aren't they supposed to be lit like running lights ? and flash when switched on

Thanks Norm

Usually only the front are running lights, and a lot of bikes do not even have front running lights.
The rear ones are turn signals only. Just the front are marker lights as well.
I wanted more light out back, so, I had to install front turnsignal/dual filament sockets into my rear housings to get running lights from these...
I bought red lens to make it legal...

I didn't know you could buy red lenses. I'm a big fan of being as visible as possible on a motorcycle. I kinda wanted for mine to illuminate as marker lights as well, but with them being amber, I just forgot it.
RED LENS ==> I Bought mine from Clear alternatives (?) I think is the company...

Chrome Glow makes a kit that makes them running and brake lights.

When stock only the front turn signals are on as running lights, not the rears. If your rear turn signal lenses are amber/yellow that's why and are only meant for turn signals. Majority of the States require red on the rears if used for running and turn lights.
You could add lights like the small chrome LED lights with white (actually clear lens which produce a bright red light) that are mounted above my reflectors.. They are on as running lights and double in brightness when brake light is used and are very bright. Can be picked up cheap on ebay. Have had these on the bike for 3 years without trouble.

I added this to my existing aftermarket red turn signals:

It's nice that when I'm riding my brake light and two turn signals serve as running lights and will flash 3 times when I hit my brakes. One if the better additions I made to my bike. It's kuryakyn so it's extremely easy to install.

I did the same thing.

I was looking for a pic of the lenses I bought, but must have deleted it. They came front the local Honda shop. They had them in stock.
