I am replacing my sprocket with a 38t on my ACE. I am having some trouble removing the clip for my master link. I put on a new chain, with the clip master link about 2 months ago. I know that I need to remove 2 links, but am having some trouble getting the clip off.
Are there any tips you can offer please?

I normally take an adjustable plyers and put one jaw against the open end of the clip and the other jaw against onje of the two pins on the master link. It will force the clip off the two pins. Yes it will slip off several times before you get a good enough bite to pop it off.

If you are shortening the chain anyway, just cut it off with a dremel or similar. You don't want to reuse a master clip anyway. YMMV HTH
