Tricked out my girlfriend's 2003 750 ACE for Christmas. Highway pegs, Memphis Shades windshield, Corbin backrest. tire valve stem caps made of .44 magnum bullets, etc.

Now, she's concerned that the backrest won't be workable because she'll have to reach too far for the bars. At 5'5", she may have a point (silly me, I shoulda seen it coming). Because I love her, I want to make it right. That's why I'm here.

I've cruised some sales pages and seen a few riser options, but I'm shooting somewhat in the dark. That's why I'm here: What worked for you? The main issue here is pullback--I'm thinking we'll need something more than 3/4 inch. Simpler application the better, because I'm not much of a mechanic. But if it's impossible to pull back more than an inch or so without replacing stock cables, lemme know. Thanks all.

I had mine pulled back 3/4" and didnt need to move any of the cabling. I could come back a little more without doing that. I have a 750 ace
