What would one take on a week-long trip (non-camping) in the spring in west Texas?

That and maybe a tire pressure guage, and one of those battery chargers for cell phones if you don't have a 12v outlet on your bike..

I ran into some weird weather in Big Bend one summer. One day it was 90 and the next there was frost on the bike. Luckily I had prepped for cold weather.

How about MMMmMMMmm... Rain Suit? Lip Balm, Sunblock?

If you are looking for fashion tips in that part of your State.. This is Texas we are talking about.. Just strap on a couple of six shooters and a bandolier of shotgun shells and you will fit in anywhere

Jumper cables, air pump, gps, fix a flat, duct tape, cable ties, extra battery for phone, chargers, folding chair? I'll be doing the circle tour around Lake Michigan this summer so have been planning myself. Look around on the web. There are sites devoted to motorcycle trips with good tips. Nice to find a Honda dealer on your route.

Include spare bulbs and a screwdriver. Headlight bulb for sure.

My saddlebags already have the necessities...
Rainsuit, extra (dry) shirt & clothing, maintenance items, and such...
I dunno what all is needed for your journey, but I would be set with a change of clothes and sleepingbag tied on for a backrest...
Some folks NEED electronics, music and more stuff for their travel, I don`t!!

Already mentioned is that weather can be wet, dry, hot OR Cold depending on God and His plan...
I wear my jacket and chaps when I ride...

Handy wipes, extra cash, spare bike key, rain suit, couple bottles of water, spare bulbs, basic tools plus leatherman, flash light, first aid kit, fuse kit, zip lock bags and a spare flux capacitor.

I can see a long list but I pack a tire repair kit and small air compressor cell phone charger and rain gear and the cloths I need. Credit card for whatever else I might need. And I will pack my camera.

This next June I am taking off on what I am calling "My 75th birthday ride"...planing on about 2800 miles, I plan on camping most of the way... I will be traveling with my friend Wayne who rides a Goldwing... I guess the ole scoot will be well laden with tent, airbed, sleeping bag, long sleeve t-shirts and vest. Rain suit, clothes for 4 days... razor, toothbrush ect. a roll of toilet paper, my tablet for email and movies... anything I forgot,,, Wally world is every where...

Cell Phone and charger
Music
Bottle/s of water
Some band-aids/basic 1st aid kit
A few micro fiber towels.
Roadside assistance policy and phone number handy.
Basic tools (air pressure gauge, fuses, flashlight)
Any personal items you think you will need

Don't forget lotion and tissues. Vaseline is way too messy. At least that's what my friends say.
