I peeled the stickers off the gas tank and there is a slight anount of goo left... what will safely remove it without harming the paint...? Goo Gone? Alcohol?

Goo gone and wd40 will both work. I have used both without issues to the clear coat.

If you go with lighter fluid, be sure to use Ronsenol. Zippo fluid was re-formulated and doesn't have the content it used to.

WD 40 and light rubbing. I use only fibre cloths on tanks and tins. Remove a little at a time replenishing the WD 40 and keeping the area lubed.

After removal you can clean with alchohol.

Treatment of area with Scratch X2 is my last step. It will take any scratches or swirls out of the paint in the tag area and smooth out any other tank scratches. Great Stuff.
