Second post here, finally got the VT500c to run, will upload video when I'm home
It had an exhaust leak (no gasket was put in by PO) and still has a mean intake leak, which I'm going to fix by keeping the stock snorkel but getting rid of the airbox, and make a custom bracket with a mount for a pod filter.
I've done all the math for the amount of area the stock airbox allows in for airflow, and I'll try to get as close as possible to that.
Took it out for a ride in the morning, stripped it bare by the afternoon, pulling out the engine this weekend and then sending it off to powdercoat. Will post pics soon!
