Hello All,
Anybody have any recommendations for replacement spark plug wires? I'm interested in getting something in yellow.
Thanks...
Do they need replaced or do you just want something in yellow?

Either way, I would suggest sticking with the factory wires.
If you want to change the color, just get some 1/4" yellow wire loom
and cover the existing wires.

Colored plug wires get grungy looking and are very hard to keep clean.
The dirt works in to the poors of the rubber and is VERY hard to get out.
Colored wire loom would allow you to remove it and and wash it with soap
and water and then reinstall it.

That's a new one on me. What's wire loom?
It's basically a corrugated plastic tube.

It's used mainly to protect wires from chaffing and such.
A lot of people use it to color match their vacuum hoses and such with
their car color... kinda makes things look a little neater.

Here's a website that shows you what it looks like.
I don't know anything about this website or anything, I just did a google
search of a site with pictures...

also i remember seeing that at least on my 1100 iirc that the plug wires are a permanent attachment at the coil end and/or have some kind of funky end on them or something like that
They actually have a threaded piece that slides over the end of a bare (no terminal connection) wire. The wire end is shoved inside the coil tower where there is a spike that runs up the middle of the coil wire to make the electrical connection.

SO the problem is if the wires you want to buy are a larger diameter that the coil threaded end piece and coil tower, you are SOL.
