I am making a bobber out of one of my vlx600s, its an '03 I am going to make the seat bracket and rear fender myself (I think I will be more proud of it!) I was told to just cut off my stock pipes right before where they get bigger so there aren't any baffles and i personally like the look of short pipes, but now it is shooting fire out of the bottom pipe, coming from the front of the engine. I know I need to rejet my carbs, but will this solve the issue completely? ( I think it looks awesome, and I like the idea of it, but don't want to harm my engine!) I am also going to be putting a K&N filter on it. So rejetting is for sure going to be necessary. any suggestions you have for any part of the bobber project would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!

I really just don't know what kind of damage this will do to the engine, and if rejetting will solve it.
