I have no idea on any of your ideas. I wrapped the pipes and now it goes further on a tank. Same fuel, plain regular. Bike gets ridden daily to work so I've been putting miles on it. I bought it with 8900 miles or so and it's over 11,000 now. Engine is getting broke in and running better maybe on top of the scavenging effect mentioned?

I'm thinking the original pipes might have not been totally on correctly, which once they were removed, wrapped, and re-installed properly back on, it would have given him a performance boost ;)

Yep, no way just wrapping could help that much. There was a bad gasket, non seated gasket or something fishy there. Loose bolts on flange or clamps.

No Sig, someone whined and I lost it.. Crybaby....
