Not anymore, but Kawasaki was smart back in their KZ Z1 muscle bike years to use them to protect the engine in addition to the oil filter.
There's gold in that there oil pan!

If they are confetti size, (he hasn't given an actual size) that is very unusual.
How big were they? Confetti is about as big as a pencil eraser. That is huge.
Gold in color, That would be Brass.
What internal parts are brass inside these engines? I would presume all Gears would be Steel.. Shifting forks may be brass. If it is a new bike in warranty the dealer needs to know about it RIGHT NOW! If it isn't reported and it goes out, "c'est la vie" to the warranty.
I have seen a high mileage engine with the rod bearings worn through the chrome and into the Brass.
