Never thought of that. A lot of folks on youtube fund their channel by selling shirts. Everyone has a shirt, maybe a hat too. :D

Doesn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy! What do you think they do the other 364 days a year? Try Homicide, Rape, Extortion, Armed robbery, Kidnapping, Drug sales, Narcotic manufacturing, Assault, and Witness Intimidation. How do I know....22 years as a LEO working the gang task force.

I have no doubt that they are not truly "angels", but for whatever reason they did as a group do something nice. Like it or not I view it like the guy that stopped to help me when I got my truck stuck. He was doing something nice and I did not question whether or not he was a good, honest, law abiding citizen. But that's just me

mmm..just like politicians and many in law enforcement..right? As an LEO I am sure you are aware of the vileness of clubs like thE Iron Pigs and other LEO based clubs

take a perusal of these fine examples

Biker News Network, Out Run By No One,1%er,Outlaw

Perhaps we shouldn't be throwing stones eh?

Another way to look at it..

I just wrote this in a FB group after reading some comments on here..remember it is easy to point out the bad, the ugly in life..in people, yet what does it change?

Right now there is a lot of picture posting going on reminding us that not all cops are bad, not all blacks are thugs and not all whites are racist..blah blah blah..well duh.. it ain't like we bikers are not aware of such stereotypes right?
Look folks The big three MC clubs did not get the reputations they have by being altar boys. but being humans, individuals if you will, within those clubs are many differing personality's attitudes, emotions etc..why judge the whole on the actions of some. MLK stated that he wanted a day when people were not judged by the color of their skin by by their actions, their character.. So judge thusly..in all things. Should we be upset when they act abhorrently? Hell yeah but we should be just as ready to praise them when they do good..or do we not realize that the reaffirmation of positive actions has a positive effect? Hey it's something we try to instill in our kids..so why not with other adults, even those big bad patch holders.

... .. .Sorry.. Just gagging a-little on the hypocrisy..

Start Rant..

Self Moderated ... "To Preserve the Spirit of the Season"

End Rant..

Still...

Nice that the Hells Angels did something nice though.. Isn't it?

Just like it's nice when LEO's do something nice..

Tell you what... Being Christmastime n'all ...Let's dwell on that, shall we?

You know, I had a response to this thread written up last night and I was pretty sure I had not posted it. I think I even finished with the phrase "warm & fuzzy" so when I read this:

I thought, "Wow! Did I post that?" No, I didn't...

First off, every group has their extremists. To characterize a global organization based on your exposure to a very small percentage of their population is - *AHEM* -

PREJUDICE, STEREOTYPING and PROFILING

Last I checked, that was looked down upon by most LEO organizations around the world.

22 years of experience puts your career at '91-'92 (ish?). So you would've been pretty green when Rodney King was beaten and riots ensued. You would've been a little more experienced when a couple of white high school kids terrorized Columbine, CO. ~10-years deep when someone flew a plane into the World Trade Center. Etc.

So...do we still dislike African-American truck drivers? Do we still distrust high school students who listen to metal? Do we still consider anybody from the Middle East a "threat" to 'Mericuh!

Or...did our prejudice progress from each of these incidents (and countless others) and now we are more tolerant of individuals and less tolerant of malicious activity. It seems to me you could use a little attitude adjustment when it comes to gang activity and gang members. Maybe you *HAVE* witnessed a lot of "bad" during your career, but does that also mean we must grown callous to the positive at the same time?

Yes, continue to dislike
Homicide, Rape, Extortion, Armed robbery, Kidnapping, Drug sales, Narcotic manufacturing, Assault, and Witness Intimidation
, but, please, do not dislike kindness, generosity, and the public displays of socially positive actions.

Geeze, I guess my impression of them was wrong. They're just a bunch of law abiding, warm hearted, community oriented guys. So misunderstood by the world.
They must have a good PR company to come up with that stunt.

It's just the unfortunate reality, Dave. There are many motorcycle clubs, so why associate with the reputation?

http://choirboyslemc.org/

I think what the individuals did was great, but I still wonder what the real price was. It may have been good old fashioned American sweat on the grindstone. Yeah, lets go with that...

Maybe they will catch your wonderful advice and do something as such in the off season... and, you know, without the payoff...

If you want to support a holistic organization, I suggest the Tibetan monks. If you're looking for something a little more tangible, maybe try Bikers Against Child Abuse.

Bikers Against Child Abuse International

I'm sure some BACA members are cross-members with the HA, so maybe that's not pure enough for some folks around here.

Wasn't that kinda how Hitler was motivated? By purity standards?
