To the moon and back

Thought you guys might appreciate this. I just rolled over 110,000 miles on my V-Storm which makes it the third bike I've owned that I have personally put on over 100,000 miles. Got me to wondering how many miles I've ridden on motorcycles over the years so I figured it out. I've owned 16 bikes since I started riding back in 1964 and adding up the miles I've put on them and the few rental bikes I've ridden, comes to a grand total of 523,100 miles, give or take. Since the distance to the moon is about 240,000 mile, that means I've ridden more than the equivalent distance from here to the moon and back. Guess that makes me a biker astronaut.

Happy Trails!

Yikes! 523,100 miles. I guess if I had the cojones to ride during the winter months perhaps I could get at least a one way trip to the moon. I've had a dozen or so cycles since '64 myself but haven't come near that mileage.

Congratulations!

Or as Ralph Kramden use to say to Alice, "Bang, zoom -- you're goin' to the moon!"

BTW: Love them Suzukis.
Happy trails indeed.

That's pretty amazing to say the least.

If I can get the vlx to 100,000 I'll be satisfied. That's some accomplishment John

Have ridden some every year since 1967, but my figures wouldn't hold a candle to that.
