hey all,

so when i picked up my bike (1999 shadow vt1100t), I got a windshield with it from the p.o. My problem is i'm having trouble mounting the windshield, I've never had one to put one on before, I can't seem to get the fork brackets to line up correctly with the windshield. It always ends up off kilter and the slide pin doesn't fit correctly in. Any suggestions would be helpful, Thanks Guys and Gals

Do you know what windshield it is?

Have you tried not tightening the fork brackets until after you have the windshield in place?
That way you can move them where they need to be.

Good one dgraves, I too, place all hardware in place to assure fit, then tighten the nuts, bolts and other fasteners, evenly...

There's been more than once where I got ahead of myself and had to loosen everything up to get the last bolt started,
