Turn Signal Wiring

I'm wanting to add an additional turn signal warning light to remind me to turn them off. Looking at a wiring diagram image posted previously, it looks as though the warning/indicator light connects it's + and - leads into the signal wire on R+L signal without a connection to ground. Is this correct?

Yes the turn signal switch alternately grounds and powers the bulb from the contacts inside it when you switch to left or right.
Just connect another bulb in parallel across the two wires and you can have a remote one .

You would have to get creative to use an LED with that system.
Maybe 2 LEDs wired so they blink with the side being powered?

Thank you
Ended up wiring a led to the turn signal relay grey and green/white.
