I´m new to this so this question maybe stupid.

What´s the technical difference between vt750cd & vt750c2

The reason i ask is that i´ve bought a dyna3000 from a dealer here in Sweden, according to his list the dyna i have got should fit my vt750c2 ACE -01, the box that the dyna came is marked with "honda 750 shadow vt750cd model only" I tryed it yesterday and the bike didn´t start. Did i got the wrong model or is the dyna broken ??

blaklader,
It may depend on the year of your ACE, they only list a unit for the '98 to '01 model ACE's. "02 and '03 models don't have a unit listed.

edit: OK, now that I re-read your post, I see that you have an '01. It should have worked! May be a defective unit? I have no idea how you would check it to see if it is good. Sorry I'm no more help!

Here's a link to the applications page at Dynatek:

BTW, where are you in Sweden? I have a good friend who just returned home to Saffle after living here in the States for about 7-8 years.

blaklader,
Hopefully, you'll get the new unit soon and will have no problems with it. I'd imagine there aren't too many good riding days that you're missing out on.

Sorry to hear about your weather! But it IS winter! I'd imagine my buddy in Saffle has it a bit worse than you! My wife and I were in Sweden back in July, we escorted our friend back to his home in Saffle. We were really impressed by how much the Swedish countryside reminded us of Kentucky. The lay of the land and how the roads wound through the hills. Where Sweden has mostly evergreen trees, Ky. has mostly hardwood, but both are mainly forrested. We took a boat ride on Vanern to the island where the monks used to make bricks, I think it might be called Luro(?) My friend's forefathers were born on the island and during our walking tour we saw the houses where they grew up. That it was a very interesting trip is an understatement! We hope someday to make the trip back to Sweden.
