I have a 2002 Spirit and know a guy with a 2004 Shadow Aero.

I'm thinking of buying his windshield that he says is stock. My question is, will this stock windshield off the 2004 Aero fit my 2002 Spirit?

Go to Bike Bandit and look up a stock windshield for an '04 Aero, then look up the same for an '02 Spirit.....see if the item numbers match.

I've done that for a few items on my Spirit and VStar and it worked out ok.

That could be hit or miss. Not all screens attach in the same place or way, and the bikes could be identical in some aspects but different in others. So while one screen may work on both bikes, another screen might only work on one of them. It would be best to lookup that exact screen or one from the same manufacturer with the same mounting.

For example, I have the Honda screen for my Phantom and I also have a Memphis Shades, and they each attach in different places. Another bike might accommodate one of them, but not the other.

I dont believe the Aero came with a shield from the factory, therefore the term 'stock' could mean anything. If it is a Hondaline i doubt it cause my Spirit had one and they have a different headlight than an A.C.E. or Aero.

All good suggestions, here.

Ask him if you can try it on your bike.
Simplest way I know.
And I personally gotta see how stuff 'lines up.'

I would say no because the the Aeros have covered forks and create a wider mounting point for the windshield versus the narrower bare Spirit forks. I learned this the hard way. :(

howdy and thanks for the pic of the aero with the windshield on it. that is pretty much the same as I,m trying to mount on mine. I got the shield for 50 bucks but the brackets I ordered are 135 so i'll still have a significant amount in a used windshield. but at least I can see how it might look. i'm also beginning to wish I had gotten smaller floorboards than the cobra model that I just put on it. mine is an '04 as well.

all the best
