Took a run out Hwy 105 to Palmer Lake again today. Yesterday when I was out there, the road was bone dry the whole way from Sedalia to Palmer Lake. Clear night last night and not even a hint of snow. Left the Denver area this morning with sunny skies and a gentle wind out of the north. Got just south of Perry Park and the sky was gray and there was a stiff breeze from the west. Hwy 105 runs north and south so I had a pretty good idea of what was coming. A little further down the road and sure enough, half of my lane was knee deep in snow. The wind was whipping down off the Front Range, picking up the snow on the fields and dropping it down on the road. Not a problem because I was looking for it but I pity any biker that might have happened along that road that wasn't.
