Left the house with That Little Red Book sitting on the pillion and passenger pegs down (7:54a at 68,300), Woody can’t wait and told me to get my ass on and go!:

Highway 4 going east, starting with farms then ranches. When we reach the Copperopolis, we had reached the base of the Sierra Mountains:

Placerville aka Hangtown (2:12p at 68,501), cooling myself off. The heat had caught up with me. Well known for hanging bad guys. It is about 30 miles south of gold discovery site:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v336/TaubBaer/Woody Rides/6-26-07/IMG_2440.jpg

Various roads that we rode after left Placerville:

Diamond Springs (3:04p at 68,523, look at the time/miles, almost an hour to do 22 miles due to lot of road works! Yes, the front parts are CLEAN!). I had to pull in to cool off myself with cold water glass:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v336/TaubBaer/Woody Rides/6-26-07/IMG_2443.jpg

Warm, eh? When I saw the public restroom, I had to pull off and took my t-shirt off and dunk it in the sink with cold water. Put it on, AHHHHHH!!!! My **** were hard! :

On Union Mine Road, yes this road is bumpy and have several tight turns but no traffics for miles:

“Where’s the gas hose, dude?” in Plymouth on Highway 49:

More various roads with little or no traffics, the last picture had no cars for miles and miles:

Decommissioned Rancho Seco (4:16p at 68,569), the nuclear power plant was shut down in 1989 due to poor operating history and only capacity of 39% produced. It had became park. There is a lake that I want to dive in with my clothes on but swimming not allow here!

We got home at 6:18p at 68,629 with 98°. So, we had ridden 329 miles for almost 10 ½ hours. What I had learned yesterday was that I NEED to get 3 things for Shady:
1) Smoother engine and quiet pipes, my hands got tired of vibrations (numbs) and my ears got rings all night long due to loud pipes. Yes, I’m deaf biker but loud pipes all day did got to my ears.
2) GPS, I admitted that we got lost a few times by missed the turns. I carry the maps.
3) Pegs on farther up front to stretch my legs.

Wow. Awesome ride and great pics. I'd like to do something like that one day but I want to get a few more miles under my belt first.
