So hello everyone I am new to the forum and a few things have already shocked me. Now don't get me wrong I am going to continue to use this forum but I am going to voice my opinion here on my first post EVER on this forum.

First off, I think it is strange to charge people for memberships? Never have I encountered a forum that charges for people to have a different title and some more benefits. Now I am sure it is worth it on some level but really? 15 bucks for a new title and less adds?!?

Secondly, I don't know the reasoning behind these 3 necessary posts to be granted access to the forums. I guess that works against people who spam but on the Rebel forum I have never encountered such a problem. So once again here I am posting my first of three mandatory posts just so I can ask a few questions and start to meet people.

Off to a great start shadow forum... I miss my rebel already.

Wow, just reading this as well as your other posts I gotta say your attitude is something else.

First of all if you even bothered to read the private message you got the threee threads are part of the anti spam protocol in place for this forum. You REALLY have no idea how many spammers attempt to hit this place on a daily basis. The three thread thing has stopped them cold so you the member doesn't have to wade through tons of porn - kiddie, beastility and all sorts in between, Nigeria spammers, bogus real estate sales and every thing else.

The paid membership levels offer various features the standard level doesn't. But guess what? It's voluntarily you don't have nor are your expected to pay anything to be here.

Lastly, I don't know if this is an attempt to troll this forum or not, but your attitude is not needed or wanted.

Welcome to the forum. I'm one of those guys that voluntarily upped my membership with a slight donation to the cause. Has someone twisted your arm for your wallet yet?I'm sure you're aware that a website doesn't run on goodwill alone. As far as I'm concerned, the small amount I've paid, I've more that received back in both knowledge and comraderie. Stick around and enjoy the company or find another site that appreciates what you offer up. I think Spiritman covered it pretty well.

I like the lack of ads.. With a membership I get one ad on the top right hand side of the screen.. All out the way-like ...No cascading, screen obliteratin' ads, no ads between posts... For as much as I haunt this place and .... "bother" these fine, upstanding people.. It's Worth it for me.. :)

The rest.. Patience grasshopper, we all had to hobble over these few minor and relatively painless hurdles...

All that aside... Welcome to the forum! ;)

howdy and welcome to the forum on behalf of the many who have jumped these incredibly insignificant hurdles in the quest for a little bit of the in-laws family----I being mostly a piaggio guy who is now learning to know the Honda side of the family

This is my first day on here and the way I think of it. You don't walk in a person's house and just start wondering around. You have to introduce yourself come around a couple times before you get to go into the back where the party is!
