I am getting ready to replace the battery on my 87 VT1100 and was directed by a link here to www.motorcyclebatteriesusa.com

They have Yakia that has the same part number and dimensions as the Yuasa YTX14-BS and it is slightlty less expensive than the Yuasa.
Anyone have any experience with them? I know that the Yuasa gets great reviews.

I love Yuasa batteries. They're also the only brand that we can use in our hospitals' (where I work) emergency lighting circuits. I would get the Yuasa. Sometimes people cheap out on the one thing that will get them back home at the end of the day. If it was a piece of chrome, or a seat cover or something, saving a few bucks might make some sense, but a dead battery is makes the bike useless, and it's worth it to me to spend the extra $5 9or whatever the price difference) to know that I'll be riding home safely.

I just bought a Yuasa two days ago. I shopped around and never found anything that I was really comfortable with. I called my local Interstate Battery dealer and bought the same battery (by spec) that my local Honda dealer was pushing for about $35 less.
