2002 vlx 600

im lookn for any mods i can do to my 2002 vlx 600 deluxe. i have k&n air and oil filter, took off air intake tube, jardine pipes, drag bars, 130 jet, and iridium plugs. im just lookn for just i higher top end speed with out slown me down off the line. tops out @ 90mph. any ideas. plus does anyone know if its possible to make a home made lowering kit?

I agree, the VLX is a cruiser not a crotch rocket.

Welcome to the forum. There are posters on this board that have fabricated struts to put in place of the shocks to both lower the VLX and make it into a "hard tail." Some of those will likely be along presently to provide additional info. You may also be able to purchase shorter shocks for the bike.

Here is one for you, he talks about giving it a little more bite and it's lowered just not same year.

welcome to the forum,, vlx is what it is, 90 is about it,,you might squeak out a little more with a 4deg timing mod
