My question is can I jump the radiator fan to see if it's working or not and what do I jump it with and how?

Always tell us what bike it is.
Because the older fan sensors were 2 wires and the newer ones are 1 wire, and the radiator has a short ground wire to the frame.

OK 2 wires at the bottom of the radiator and you can jump them together with a paper clip and the fan should run with the key on if the fuse is good and the motor also.
You just jump the sensor connection on the bottom of the radiator and that completes the circuit on the 2 wire sensor models.

Yes the paper clip works fine pushed into the pins in the 2 wires from the fan.
One of those wires is the ground already.
