You have a 750? First place I’d start would be a quality 200A TIG welder, a big bottle of argon and a suitable fabrication table or at very least a full size motorcycle ride-on lift. People have done it, the 600 gets a “half ass” weld in hardtail but the TJ brutal customs kit doesn’t address the lower swing arm pivot on the 600’s which looks bad, IMO. With the 750 frame it is going to be a one-off fabrication job, I am personally planning on doing the full hardtail conversion on my 750DC this winter and I will be going with a TC bros universal weld on kit( seen here -
TC Bros. Universal Weld-On Hardtail Frame Kit ) and doing all the work myself, this will be a very involved process, you will need to remove the engine from the frame to do it correctly.
People have done it before us, I don’t agree with the methods used in this build but it does have a lot of decent info.

I currently run 9.5” center to center rear hard struts and I have around 6,000 miles that way and really enjoy the ride. Currently my side bags cover the struts both up entirely, but I do agree on the looks... I want the full hardtail look on the rear and to clean the back end and cut the cast swing arm mounts off, That’s my biggest complaint about 99% of the “hardtail” metric conversions, they leave the cast swingarm mount plates in place and it looks tacky to me.
