Harley sportster fork swap

Hello I have a 1998 Honda shadow ace 750 that I’m building into a hooligan flat track bike I’m wanting to swap the front end with a Harley sportster 49 mm set up that I have in the garage. Has anybody done anything like this? I believe the Harley uses a 1 inch steering stem I’m not sure what the dimensions are for the bearings and steering stem of the Honda any help on the swap would be appreciated
Your ace has 41mm tubes, as CSroad mentioned. Short of swapping out the triple trees for an HD set(which is very involved) you’ll not be able to swap any HD forks directly over because Harley fork tubes are all measured in fake metric, their “41mm” forks are actually 1.625” so they’re ~41.25mm. You could potentially hone out the factory 41mm Honda triple trees and use Harley “41mm” tubes but that’s still going to be a pretty involved process.

This is the Harley conversion neck cutting job I believe CSroad was mentioning. - "mavrick's Neck Mod" - Shadowriders
